Exploring Inclusion in the Workplace, with Enable
About this Event

Join us for the Inclusion Network Shropshire - a community of practice for those who support others and want to run an inclusive organisation.

The inclusion network is not really about networking. It's an opportunity to participate in a shared experience, facilitated by expert coaches with first-hand knowledge of overcoming disadvantage or physical, mental barriers. This is communicated in a physically interactive way, usually in a community setting. We deliberately focus on a range of topics related to diversity and inclusion and rotate around the county.

Our vibe is relaxed, informal and friendly, and we are very much a 'community' that supports one another.

For our spring Inclusion Network, we are delighted to being hosted by Enable, Shropshire Council’s Supported Employment Service. Enable are going to be talking all things Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

We will be hearing from Nicki Evans, Expert By Experience Lead; "Traveling the road of Mental Health Recovery and Healing" You can see some of Nicki’s work by following the below link.

We will also be joined by Gretel Parker, who will share her personal method of checking in on her wellness and mental health, using a quick and easy visualisation exercise, as well as learning more about what Enable has to offer local business to support them to become more inclusive employers.

This event is designed to promote well-being and you will also have the opportunity to:

  • Meet with and hear from individuals and their supporters about their journey to running their own organisation
  • Connect with yourself in the coached session
  • Catch up with other attendees and network
  • Share your experiences
  • Enjoy a seasonal lunch
