A CLA grant funded program designed to highlight ways businesses, organizations and members in the community can build meaningful inclusion into everyday interactions. The program gives stats and figures about inclusion and demonstrates where improvement can be made. The program ends with a panel discussion with members of our community that have disabilities allowing them to share their lived experiences of our shared community.Presenter: Connie Gens
My name is Connie Gens and I returned to The Arc Fond du Lac, as Training Coordinator in November of 2021.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Marian University. I have 19 years of experience in the field. For the majority of those years I worked here in the Opportunities Center as a Case Manager. During this time, I led the incident report training and sat on the training day committee for several years. Then I went to work at RCS Empowers in Sheboygan, also doing Case Management. When I was offered the chance to return to The Arc Fond du Lac to join the team, in my current capacity, I took it. I live here in Fond du Lac with my husband Shawn and our two children Ethan, 16 and Ava 13. My son is on the Autism spectrum, so my advocacy and passion for those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities fills all the corners in my heart.
