Updated text: Pour some fuel on your creative fire with 4 consecutive evenings of study and rehearsal with two brilliant guest choreographers culminating in an opportunity to participate in performing the week's work in the Incandescence Studio Showcase at Dauntless Dance and Movement. Each performance intensive will meet for 90 minutes daily Monday-Thursday for a total of 6 hours of dedicated in-studio preparation time. Jump in on one, test your limits with two, or go full meteor shower and join us for an encore performance of Kimberly Larkspur's new Eldritch and Enchanted (intensive and initial performance will take place at Bayou Belly Festivale in Lafayette July 19-20) in addition to either or both of the experiences being offered in Houston over the course of the week.

Doors Friday 7:30.
Performances begins at 8:00. Snacks and break-out dance parties included.
Performance Intensive - Dominions July 22-25 5:30-7:00; Performance July 26
Join Heather Labonte for the development and first performance of a new dance work, Dominions. Leveraging both the ethereal and grounded qualities of contemporary belly dance-informed movement, dancers will embody these angelic creatures who represent the tension between truth and mercy. Participation in this piece will offer dancers an opportunity to explore authentic connection with each other as well as a deep dive into concept-specific execution of familiar technique. Through drilling exercises and rehearsal, we will refine our fluidity, gravity, force, and gentleness to express the collective sublime of an angelic assembly.
This series is intended for intermediate and experienced dancers interested in co-creating an exciting and safe opportunity to perform a fun, creatively challenging piece.
Performance Intensive- Fire in the Sky M-TH July 22-25 7:15-8:45; Performance July 26
A performance intensive with Pixie Fordtears. We will be working with Pixie's unique style of fusion slathered with gooey movement, crisp attacks, and delicious recoil. Hard hits, pops and locks, into flowing movements, and fun experimenting with staging, cannons, laughs, and more. I really can’t wait to work with yall! Costuming can be anything black or darker shades of red.
