About this Event

As the construction industry races to adopt new technologies and build more sustainably, how do we make sure the people and organisations involved are not left behind? Professor Sam Zulu shares his research that addresses the nexus between people, organisations and technology.

The construction industry is experiencing unprecedented pressure to change in response to the sustainability agenda and developments in digital technologies. Professor Zulu asks whether this transformation to a smart and sustainable built environment should be as much about managing the transition as it is about technological innovations.

In his lecture, Sam focuses on the people, organisational and management implications for projects and firms as they respond to the sustainability and digital technology developments, affecting the way construction projects are designed, constructed and managed. He will explore how firms in the construction industry are transitioning or should transition to new business models and organisational forms to meet changing demands.
