Race #6 and FINAL race of the 2024 South Texas MTB Race Series!Are you ready to push your limits on your mountain bike? Get ready for the Inaugural Pedro “Pete” Benavidez Relay-Style Marathon Mountain Bike Race at the new Benavidez Bike Trails and Park in Brownsville, Texas.
This event will allow riders to compete SOLO or on a TEAM of up to four (4) racers in a relay-style cross-country race. Choose your category and race 10 laps or approximately 30 miles on this fast and twisty course! This is an off-road cycling race for endurance riders - solo racers must complete 10 laps to qualify for a finishers medal, with podiums for the top 3 fastest riders by category. Team racers must complete a total of 10 laps collectively, with podiums for the top 3 fastest teams by category. Race begins at 8:00 AM CST with a Lemans-style running start. All racers must complete the race by 12:00 PM CST.
Light snacks and water will be provided, and a hand-up section will be designated.
All proceeds will go toward the Valley Off-Road Bicycling Association (VORBA), a 501(c)3 non-
