THIS COMPETITION IS OPEN TO ALL NGUNGURU SPORTS CLUB MEMBERS______________________________________________________________________
AREA TO BE FISHED: Ocean side of Ngunguru sandspit from the Northern side of Mussel Rock to the northern end of the sandspit opposite the port marker post. Ngunguru estuary (on the side of the estuary) from the school to the big pohutukawa tree opposite Kakariki Road. NO fishing off any rocks.

ENTRY FEE: $10 per angler (Seniors and Juniors)
FISHING GEAR: NO nets, long lines, kites, torpedoes, drones or cannons
Lines shall have NO MORE THAN 2 hooks or baits
BOATS: NO fishing from boats/kayaks

CATEGORIES & PRIZES: Senior 1st, 2nd & 3rd heaviest Snapper
Senior 1st & 2nd heaviest Gurnard & Kahawai
Junior 1st heaviest Snapper, Gurnard & Kahawai
Mystery Prize
INTER CLUB TROPHY: Winning club will be club with heaviest combined weight of all fish weighed
SPECIAL PRIZE: For the junior with biggest bag of rubbish collected off the beach
WEIGH IN opens at 4:00 pm. All anglers must be at the Fishing Club shed ready to weigh at 4:30 pm for their catch to count in the competition. BBQ from 4:30 pm

RULES AND CLARIFICATIONS:
*No sharks or rays
*No fishing off any rocks or from boats/kayaks etc
Defined fishing areas:
1. Ocean side of Ngunguru sandspit from the Northern side of Mussel Rock to the northern end of the sandspit opposite the port marker post
2. Ngunguru estuary (on the side of the estuary) from the school to the big pohutukawa tree opposite Kakariki Road.
Weighing fish:
*All fish will be weighed by nominated weigh master(s) for the day
*All anglers must be at the Fishing Club shed ready to weigh in at 4:30 pm for their catch to count in the competition
*Inter Club Trophy: Anglers must nominate the club they are fishing for at time of entry for their fish to be included in the combined weight for club
*Decisions/Disputes: Any decision (same weight fish entries etc.) will be made by President, Club Captain and Treasurer. If one of them is ‘involved’ in the decision, the Secretary or another nominated NFC Committee member will replace them for that decision
