About this Event
Over the past few months, the ACLU of Connecticut and Ben & Jerry’s Connecticut have collected artwork from local artists that celebrates and uplifts immigrant voices and stories, while challenging the harmful narratives about immigrants, refugees, and asylees often seen in mainstream media.
We are working in collaboration with Western Connecticut State University to host a pop-up gallery with an opening event to create a community space that uplifts the art we’ve received, celebrates our collective resilience and joy, and creates a space to engage with the WestConn community and partners.
We are hosting this free, public event on Monday, November 24, from 4pm-6pm in Ruth A Haas Library, with free ice cream from Ben & Jerry's.
