Join The Center for Music Therapy, Paradise band members Trey Haas, Micheal Dodson, and Limelight Music Productions as we celebrate the release of "In The Park" and "Hurin Da". This will be followed by an online moderated panel discussion (moderator Dr. Raymond MacDonald) featuring the Limelight, CFMT, and Paradise band members. The evening will end with an in-person party outside The Center For Music Therapy’s Austin, Tx office. Come celebrate this global music collaboration!A few months ago, The Center for Music Therapy and Paradise band members teamed up with Limelight Music Productions from Glasgow, Scotland during the CFMT Rock ‘n Roll Music Therapy Workshop which was a virtual workshop to support neurodiverse artists. Together, we provided a creative space for our in-house band, Paradise, to produce professional projects and share them with the world. Now the first two songs from this amazing global collaboration are ready to launch.
The goal of the Rock ‘n Roll Music Therapy Workshop was to use the shared love for creating music to inspire virtual human connections. Eight musicians from both Texas and Scotland collaborated for two months, creating two original works and one unique take on a traditional Gaelic song. Special feature, jazz legend Stanley Jordan, has also incorporated his world-renowned guitar sounds into the digital projects. In their totality, these digital projects are the product of over a dozen people’s creativity and talents from across the United States and Scotland.
