Walking along a pilgrimage route takes us on an inner journey of discovery. We will walk along the Camino Maltés, a route that connects Malta to Sicily, Sardinia, and ultimately leading to Santiago de Compostela. We will embark on a journey to discover the will of God, while discovering country lanes and villages in the Maltese landscape from Rabat to Birgu.
Five walks of different lengths will be organized. Each experience is a stand-alone event, and participants can choose to attend part or all of the pilgrimage.
The Credential
Pilgrims embarking on the Camino de Santiago carry with them a "Pilgrim's passport" or credential. It is a document that is stamped at various stages along the way as proof of the pilgrim’s journey. You may be interested in acquiring one that we will stamp at each event.

The Walks
1. Rabat → Ħaż-Żebbuġ 6.5 Km – Sat 21 Sep, 16:00 – 20:00
2. Ħaż-Żebbuġ → Maqluba 7.2 Km – Sat 16 Nov, 15:00 – 19:00
3. Maqluba → Żurrieq 3.8 Km – Sat 4 Jan, 14:30 – 18:00
4. Żurrieq → Ta' Loretu chapel 5.4 Km – Sat 22 Mar, 14:30 – 18:30
5. Ta’ Loretu chapel → Birgu (at night) 13 Km – Sat 24 May, 19:00 – 00:30
Our Second Walk
We will be walking along the second part of the Camino Maltés that starts in Ħaż-Żebbuġ at the chapel of the Visitation - where we ended the first walk. There will be moments of reflection and sharing. We will end our walk with mass in the chapel known as il-Maqluba, Qrendi.
