About this Event
All for a good cause, the yearly toy fundraiser is held to raise money to purchase toys for sick and under privileged children across South East Queensland so come the holidays they get to experience just as much joy as other children around the world. As much happiness as this brings to the children the true gift we feel is that unbeatable feeling knowing you have done something to help brighten the day for somebody who needs a little extra sunshine in their life. Come and experience that feeling for yourself and help make this year the biggest yet so we can spread as much happiness across South East Queensland as possible. We are providing a huge line up on a Sunday at PFR Lounge with limited tickets available so make sure you get in early and donate where you can.
This year’s line up consists of some of the best local musicians Brisbane has to offer focusing on a mixture of acoustic performances as well as full band performances.
Tim Steward who is best known as the singer/songwriter for Screamfeeder as well as his current project We All Want To, will be performing solo in a truely raw and intimate setting which will be sure to leave you covered in goosebumps that only such an experienced musician can do.
Emmy we all know from Brisbane band The Cutaways but she is returning to growing her name again by returning to Emmy Hour. With a power in her voice that grabs your attention in one second and then followed by a sweetness to soften the blow, Emmy will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, but don’t be scared because you won’t be able to help but smile the whole ride.
One of Brisbanes favourite punk rock bands, The Square Tugs are coming with a Santa sack full of energy so be prepared to be jumping from rooftop to rooftop because these boys just won’t stop.
Dan Smith has played many venues local and abroad in various bands and currently plays for Brisbane outfit Serial Killer Dinner Party but you put an acoustic guitar in his hand and he becomes a jukebox of all your favourite punk rock songs. With a slight grit in his voice and an ability to play a guitar to perfection all you need to do is close your eyes and Dan’s voice will transport you to a whole other world.
Rounding out the line up is Punk and Ska legends The Snouts, Grunge inspired Chemical Prisoner and the Alternative Punk/Rock sound of Lattes for Milfs.
