Be in the room where it happened! Join Bennett Place staff for a special presentation inside the reconstructed Bennett farmhouse to learn more about the surrender negotiations between Johnston and Sherman.
This twelve minute presentation features Sherman and Johnston reenactors in historic dialogue, guided by a staff member to provide further context and information.
Due to limited spacing, visitors must reserve a free spot to a presentation. You must show up to the time you reserved. Time slots are 12:30, 12:50, and 1:10.
Please note this is not a first person skit between the generals, but rather a historic narrative provided by site staff with background acting (and occasional dialogue) by Johnston and Sherman reenactors.
The Sherman & Johnston reenactors will be inside the Bennett house again at 10:15-10:45 and 2:30-3:00 for pictures & conversation, with no reservations required.
