It's a Mitzvah!:

The third book in a stylish, current, and multi-faceted series of Jewish-themed casebound board books for curious young readers.

This modern and whimsical Jewish-themed board book series is the first of its kind to incorporate both Jewish traditions and Jewish culture, offering a truly representative and current depiction of Judaism. It's a Mitzvah! introduces readers to everyday good deeds, inspiring readers to bring kindness, connection, and peace to the world. Author and artist Suzy Ultman melds her own Jewish upbringing with her current trendsetting aesthetic to create a much-needed series of gorgeous, appealing, and perfectly simple books that will stand out on any table or shelf amidst the sea of blue and gold painterly Jewish-themed books that precede these.

Suzy Ultman has been creating toys and books for family and friends since childhood. A born storyteller, Suzy is an illustrator, product designer, toy creator, and bookmaker of sophisticated and simple objects that inspire and delight. Suzy’s signature products center connection, community, and finding your place within our global family. When she isn’t in her studio folding paper, designing textiles, or creating toys, she can be found strolling through antique shops, finding treasures at flea markets, and communing with nature. She's nested with her husband and three sons in their cozy home in Ohio. www.suzyultman.com

The Bagel Who Wanted Everything:

The Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast series meets The Food Group books in this tale of a plain bagel who dreams of being more!

Hey. I’m a bagel who is just one thing: PLAIN. The other bagels? They’re all just one thing, too. Garlic. Salt. Onion—you get the idea.

BORING!

Being plain makes me feel like I have this big hole, right here in my gut. Because in a world full of so many things, I want to be . . .

EVERYTHING!

Now I just have to figure out what that is . . .

Alan Silberberg is an award-winning author, cartoonist, and children’s TV creator who has worked with Nickelodeon and Disney. Alan created the Jewish food alphabet book P Is for Pastrami, as well as the trilogy of holiday books Meet the Latkes, Meet the Matzah, and Meet the Hamantaschen. Alan lives in Montreal, where the bagels are the best!
