About this Event
A walk exploring a less-visited area of East London from its nineteenth century foundation as an industrial/residential area serving the Royal Docks, and a fringe of factories along the river side. There are views of the derelict Millennium Mills, the still-thriving Tate and Lyle Sugar Refinery, and modern landmarks such as the Music Hall Museum and City Airport. Also the Thames Barrier Park and site of the devastating munitions factory explosion of 1917.
