About this Event
During this time, people have so many private thoughts and feelings about their personal histories and our collective history. From economics, to mental health, to gentrification -- the world feels like it is changing rapidly, but somehow, staying the same. What do you do with all of these thoughts and feelings? How do you document your past, present and future?
In collaboration with Sip and Sonder's In Residence, Black Girl Rising LA presents the Black Time Travel Project: An Exploration of Black Feminist Theory & Archival Practice. In a series of 3 workshops, we will explore the ways in which Black feminist thought can guide is in documenting our past, present and future experiences. These workshops will be part guided lecture, and part interactive art workshop. No matter where you are in your practice, pull up and create with us. Creating feels better in community!
