Always an audience favourite our annual “In Remembrance” concert event is coming up! We present an evening of music poetry and reflection and this year we feature the exceptional Edmonton Symphony Wind Quintet.
The quintet is making their ERS debut and is comprised of the stunning talents of the five principal wind players of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra: Elizabeth Koch flute; June Kim oboe; Julianne Scott clarinet; Allene Hackleman French Horn; and Bianca Chambul bassoon.
ERS’ own Sarah Ho piano will join the quintet for Poulenc’s famed Sextet and Lili Boulanger’s “D’un Soir Triste”. Also on the program: Ravel’s “Tombeau de Couperin” and Hindemith’s “Kleine Kammermusik” for Wind Quintet.
We are also excited to have CKUA Radio personality and ERS founding President Aaron Au as our host/narrator for this recital. It will be an evening to remember!
