Penllergare Valley Woods is a secret and magical place, situated just minutes from Junction 47 ,off the M4 near Swansea. The Victorian estate was previously the home of John Dillwyn Llewelyn, the renowned horticulturist, pioneering photographer and astronomer. It consists of over a hundred hectares of mixed woodland, two lakes, seven miles of peaceful woodland walks and over five hundred years of Welsh history. The site is also know for its spectacular waterfall on the Rive Llan, which meanders through the estate.
We will be meeting in the Car Park adjacent to the Café.
Unfortunately there is a £2.50p parking charge, though entry to the park is free.
