Who this In Person Event is for:
Ages 2-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome but may find the event less meaningful and fulfilling.
What you'll be doing:
This spooky season, we invite you to come dressed up as your favorite animal and gather “treats” for the animal residents and ambassadors at the Ohio Wildlife Center (OWC). Children will participate in a fun onsite program that involves a discussion on identifying when animals need help, a half-hour animal encounter, and a half-hour tour where they can see owls, raccoons, and other critters.
Families are encouraged to purchase and/or collect “treat” donations, like food and animal toys, for the Ohio Wildlife Center. The OWC wishlist and donation flyers will be provided in your confirmation email.
Specific Instructions:
All supplies will be provided. Please note a portion of the Ohio Wildlife Center tour is NOT stroller-friendly or handicap accessible, so plan accordingly. Please wear appropriate closed-toe shoes. This is a rain or shine event so bring umbrellas, boots, and rain ponchos if appropriate. Please bring any donations you collect to the event.
Why you'll be asked to pay an event fee and donate:
On the next page, you'll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for kids.
Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
We never want supply fees to prevent someone from participating in a Seeds of Caring project. If you would like assistance covering your supply fees, please email [email protected] and we will register you for free, no questions asked.
