Over the past 30 years, Baloff has sold over a dozen screenplays (6 produced) and worked on numerous network television shows and television specials.
Baloff’s screenplay “Quicksand; No Escape” won the Writers Foundation Award for Best Screenplay in 1992. His screenplay, “The Undertaker” was cited by the Writers Guild of America, West as “one of the top ten unproduced comedies.”
Baloff values his association with academic film and theater. He taught screenwriting for the highly regarded UCLA Writing Program and currently teaches Screenwriting and Directing for The New York Film Academy.
Baloff received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing from the University of Florida where he received the Presidential Recognition Award.

? ACTING FOR FILM WORKSHOP
NYFA instructor Cesar Gracia will teach you how to build scenes off the top of your head. Improv is one of the central skills in all acting, from stage to film and especially auditions. Improvisation gives you the confidence you need to walk into an audition and helps you expand your imagination.
Improv also gives actors the flexibility they need in order to be directed. In Acting for Film, you will be shown the basics of how to be natural in front of the camera, explore some simple techniques, and investigate what the ultimate goal is for you on a film set.
Cesar Gracia studied long-form improv and sketch writing at the UCB Theater in NYC as well as Second City. Has appeared in several commercials and in 2008 appeared in a comedy short he co-wrote that aired on Comedy Central's Atom Tv.
Cesar also stepped behind the camera as a cinematographer for Short Steps, a short film that premiered at the Soho Film Festival in 2014. Prior to that, he worked as a camera assistant for the Spanish network Univision. He also appeared in the movie Chatue Vato alongside Paul Rodriguez which can be seen on HBO Max.
