Celebrate liberation with a burlesque cabaret fundraiser – In-Person and Online!
About this Event

“For black women–sexualized or other–to intellectually take to the stage and own yourself, that is very revolutionary. The African-American woman’s experience in America is very much one of sexual dominance or of being dominated. And so to perform and take that back and have that expression is a political act.”

– Chicava Honeychild in “How performers of color are ‘revolutionizing’ burlesque” Canvas Arts

Let’s celebrate our freedom to express joy! 2021 is all about exploring feminine empowerment through dance, culture and education. This summer, we’re inviting our community to join us as we immerse ourselves into the world of burlesque to experience beauty, feathers and freedom!

Join Cumbe on Thursday, July 8, 2021 as we embark on this exciting journey and as we begin celebrating 10 years of freeing the mind, body and soul. Every ticket purchased includes a complimentary year's membership in Cumbe Village Circle!
