About this Event

Come learn how to make your own poi! We will be hosting TWO classes. Beginners/first timers are welcome to attend at 4:30 pm to learn about kalo, it's different parts, and the process of pounding it into poi. Former Board and Stone participants who have completed the Board and Stone program are welcome to come at 5:30 pm.

Papa and pōhaku ku'i 'ai (poi pounding board and stones) will be available to borrow. Cooked whole kalo from Kaua'i will be sold at $5/pound.

To reserve your spot 1). Select a class time, 2). complete the full order form on Eventbrite, and 3). complete purchase of kalo using this link: KOKA Website to Purchase Kalo

All purchases must be completed through this link prior to the class. If payment for kalo isn't received within two days of Eventbrite registration, we may need to open up that slot so others have a chance to sign-up.
