About this Event
This mandatory STC update is the assessors’ primary source for official, current guidance directly from the State Tax Commission presented by Treasury staff. This is a required course for certified assessing officers (MCAO, MAAO, MMAO) and technicians (MCAT) on the statutory, procedural, and administrative changes impacting property assessment and taxation for the 2027 assessment year.
This course will review changes to certification and education requirements, legislative updates, assessment procedures, and all STC bulletins.

The training is being held in the Commission Chambers on the second floor of the City Hall located at 301 Washington Ave, Bay City, MI. Questions about the training location or topic can be addressed to the email or phone number listed below.
There is an hour break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM between the morning and afternoon sessions, with the afternoon training beginning promptly at 1:00 PM.
