In Our Hands showcases new and recent work by the established community of artists based in West Yorkshire Print Workshop’s studio spaces in Mirfield and Huddersfield. The exhibition features a wide range of methods, including printmaking, photography, painting, drawing, animation, and kinetic sculpture. It represents artists working in abstract and figurative modes, as well as those who explore the rich space between them. Despite the wide variety of methods and styles, common threads run through the work, particularly an emphasis on intimate, hands-on engagement with materials and process, alongside a keen awareness of place and context.
You are invited to attend a special Open Studio event at our Mirfield space on Saturday 28 February – an opportunity to meet the artists in their studios and see current work in progress. Several artists will be running workshops at Mirfield in early 2026. Check out our full programme at www.wypw.org.
Founded in Mirfield in 1984 by artists seeking space to make and show their work, West Yorkshire Print Workshop has always drawn inspiration from the talent and imagination of its community. It is therefore fitting that our studio artists should present their work in our final exhibition at our “pop-up” space here at the Creative Piazza.
