[In Mandarin] Art Talk: Artwork Appreciations & Collections of Local Artist

is an art talk by Chinese art critic Zhu Hong which shall provide insights to the development of Singapore art history, along with the major art schools and styles of artists.

Learn about prominent first and second generation artists and their backgrounds, and be guided on how to appreciate and admire artworks. Learn how to converse in the language of art, and acquire practical tips in art appreciation. Be able to discuss art with confidence and also distinguish between common Singaporean art schools and styles. There will be tea and tea snacks served during the session. Participants in the art talk shall be entitled to an art discount voucher for purchase of any artworks or items.

With an growing interest in the Singapore art market and in Singapore art by internationals, this talk is inviting for Chinese nationals and new immigrants too!

The Shophouse Edition - Singapore Art Treasures is open from 22 to 24 November, 11am-9pm daily at the Figment event space at 11 Lorong 24A Geylang, Singapore 398535. This art exhibition features a fine collection of first and second generation artworks including works by Chen Wen Hsi, Lim Tze Peng, Wu Tsai Yen, Phua Cheng Phue and others.
