About Chiqui:
60 years old, with a professional career, Chiqui was a dancer of the prestigious company
* National Folk Ensemble of Cuba, where he received the title of "First solo dancer" where he made several tours around the world.
Resident in Sweden since 1992, he has been employed as a dance pedagogue, dance teacher and choreographer at the Royal Academy of Music in Malmö and
Stockholm, The college of Dance and the Ballet Academy, Stockholm. The Copenhagen Rhythmic Center and the Silkeborg Conservatory of Music, Denmark.
He has also been invited as a dance teacher and artist in
Denmark, Norway, Finland, Holland, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, G
reece, Ireland, England, Scotland, Italy and the United States.
Chiqui has participated in several films:
“Placido”, “El Cuerbo”, “Oggún”, “La Rumba”.
In the film "Papá Montero" that received a Cuban award, he had the leading role.
