In His Shoes – Male Carer Peer Support Group
Are you a male carer supporting a loved one with dementia or other long-term health conditions? You’re not alone.
Join us for In His Shoes – a friendly, supportive space just for male carers. This informal peer support group is a chance to meet others who understand what you’re going through, share experiences, swap tips, and enjoy some well-earned time for yourself.
There’s no pressure to speak—just come along for a cuppa and a chat with others walking a similar path. Whether you’re new to caring or have been doing it for years, this group is here for you.
Who’s it for?
Any man who provides unpaid care or support to a partner, parent, friend, or family member.
What to expect:
• Relaxed, male-only environment
• Peer support and shared understanding
• Regular guest speakers or themed discussions
• Refreshments provided
Where: LiveWell Dementia Hub, Thorntree Road, Thornaby, TS17 8AP
When: 3rd Monday of every month, 1-3pm
