
October 11 is the International Day of the Girl! On October 9 Dr. Nazera Sadiq Wright (author of Black Girlhood in the Nineteenth Century) joins Morven Museum & Garden’s curatorial and research team to talk about how girls’ experiences in the 1800s were shaped by their race and station and what we can learn from fictional characters.
This is a virtual event but pre-registration is required. Students can register for free; General Admission is $5.
