A poetry writing workshop
About this Event

In this poetry writing workshop, we will gain inspiration from The Outwin 2022: American Portraiture Today to develop narrative poems that tell stories. We will explore the theme, overlooked, and borrow from fiction writing techniques, including narrative voice, character development, and world building, to create vivid poems. Open to writers of all levels who are 18+.

The Portrait Gallery strives to provide programs that are accessible to all visitors. If you have questions about the accessibility of this program, or if you would like to request real-time captioning (CART), sign language interpretation, or any other accommodations, please contact [email protected]. Two weeks' advance notice is appreciated for requesting accommodations.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so no later than 7 days before the start of the workshop in order to receive a full refund (Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable.)
