In Conversation with Tandi Wright

Join us for a cosy Tuesday evening with good company and two of Aotearoa's finest actors settling in for a proper kōrero about the creative life.

Jonty Hendry will sit down with Tandi Wright - who you might recognize from her role in cult classic Pearl, be looking forward to seeing her continue her horror streak with Evil Dead Burn, or from her many roles in NZ TV series such as Creamerie, Shortland Street, The Wilds etc - for an intimate conversation about what it really takes to sustain a career as a performer in Aotearoa.

They'll talk longevity and reinvention, the wins and the wobbles, and the beautiful, messy reality of living creatively.

These two go way back, they first became close in the early 90s when Tandi played Lady Anne to Jonty's Richard III in the VUW Summer Shakespeare. Expect the kind of generous, unguarded chat that only happens between old friends who've both been in the trenches and come out the other side.

Roll in from 5.45pm. Conversation kicks off at 6pm. Then we'll keep the kōrero going with free drinks and nibbles from 7–8pm.
