Join award-winning photographer Rachel Bigsby as she shares her passion for capturing wildlife on camera. Makar Kathleen Jamie will introduce this event with a poetry reading inspired by the natural world.In celebration of International Women’s Day and our exhibition Wildlife Photographer of the Year, developed by the Natural History Museum, the National Museum of Scotland is proud to host two women who have carved out their careers inspired by the wonders of the natural world.
Join Rachel Bigsby as she shares the joys and challenges of her career in wildlife photography and broadcasting, and hear poetry from Kathleen Jamie, Makar (National Poet for Scotland).
Wildlife Photographer of the Year features 100 awe-inspiring images that celebrate the power of photography and the wonders of the natural world. On loan from the Natural History Museum in London. Open 20 January until 6 May at the National Museum of Scotland. Supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
