Speaker: Prof. Jeanine SANDYIn clinic analysers are vital and expensive investment items for most modern veterinary clinics and hospitals. However, there is limited information for veterinarians on the significant limitations of these machines. Some studies demonstrate that many currently available in clinic analysers often fail to meet quality requirements. This talk will cover analytes/results that are generally reliable by most analysers, but the focus of this talk will be on the limitations of machines, and why examination of a blood film remains a critical requirement in medicine. This will be a case-based presentation.
