Black Media in Minnesota: Tradition, Practice & Vision (In Black Ink, 2024) is a collection of essays by 12 local media makers edited by Al McFarlane. This book brilliantly demonstrates that Black media has sustained a two-pronged imperative: 1) to inform and 2) to advocate for African Americans. Macalester College student Azariah Baker will moderate a discussion with several contributors to the anthology.
