As the premier event of Ashby Projects IMPULSE is set to pioneer a new hypnotic techno sound to showcase first in Melbourne. IMPULSE is hosted in the infamous, newly renovated Flinders St. tunnels, powered by a world class Nexo sound system and over 170 metres of neon lighting, imagined by world class event designers. This space paired with a tailored lineup of artists who each bring their own unique and energetic styles is sure to show a fresh face to the scene. From the eclectic nu-wave sound perfected by GUMM to WILLEMS late-night rythmic energy, this lineup was curated to satisfy every impulse.

Bella Claxton: Since moving from Albury in 2020, Bella Claxton has gone from strength to strength, performing at Melbourne's historic venues including Revolver, Gasometer and Pawn and Co. The last two years has seen her work alongside major international artists such as Job Jobse, Stephan Bodzin, Gerd Janson and Papa Smurf. Her ability to venture seamlessly through genres and find eclectic dance floor hits from all decades makes her performances distinctive and infectious.

Erica Dal: A born entertainer, Erica Dal's groovy energetic house sets have graced the largest dance floors in Melbourne. She's one of the most familiar names in house and disco amongst the new generation of disco heads. Starting behind the decks at Attik and becoming a weekly resident at Brown Alley, ERICA Dal has gone on to support Thomas Schumacher at TFU, and debut her first headline show in January. Erica's debut track "Gramaphone" released in May on all platforms.

Gumm: Over the last ten years, Gumm graduated from being an active promoter hosting renegade parties in obscure public spaces to performing at Melbourne's biggest festivals, including Let Them Eat Cake, Pitch Music & Arts and Smalltown. As co-founder of Melbourne brand Darklove, he hosted international acts The Drifter and Damon Jee to go with regular bookings supporting major acts from Maceo Plex to DJ Koze and more. His recent debut single 'Struck', released on Berlin-based Ombra International, the in-vogue label run by indie-dance maestro Curses, served as a crucial entry point into the global scene. With his recent sold-out headline show selling over 500 tickets, Gumm is well situated to be at the Melbourne forefront of a new, compelling global sound with roots in genres like nu-wave, indie-dance and nu-disco.

Willem: Gold Haus co-founder Willem has swiftly risen through the underground scene of Melbourne, producing high energy sets fusing elements of techno, trance and old school rave. This unique sound has seen him perform at major festivals and clubs supporting international artists such as Oliver Huntemann, Roza Terenzi and Schacke. His fast tempo, energetic and dynamic performances have pushed him to the forefront of the city's underground music scene where he continues to make his impact, releasing his new EP "Youtopia" in September.
