About this Event
Jean Grunewald is highly sought out by art organizations to attend shows and provide members with creative feedback about their paintings. She is also part of a group of artists who paint weekly, and every member is eager to get her feedback each time. She has a fantastic understanding about all types of art, and also has a wide repertoire of skills and techniques. She is also incredibly humble and encouraging, all of which make her the ideal instructor to help you answer the question: "How can I improve this painting?"
Students can send images of their work ahead of time and Jean will have a head start on helping you come up with a plan to improve all aspects of your painting. From composition, drawing, color choices, values and brushwork, Jean will use a variety of techniques to show you ways to really amp up your painting skills. She will take your dry painting and use different methods like charcoal (which wipes off) and saran wrap which she can paint on to show you how to improve your existing work. Jean has vast painting experience in a wide range of styles and subject matter to draw upon.
Jean will also draw from her studies of art history and current artists to make recommendations for self studies you can do in the future to help improve your style and inspire you, from medieval to modern impressionism, you never know where you can find inspiration!
After receiving individual feedback from Jean student will have the opportunity to work on their painting with her guidance and leave with something fantastic.
