In this workshop, we will embrace our inner villain—not just as a source of chaos, but as a crucial force that elevates the hero, challenges the audience, and deepens the story. A well-crafted villain is more than just an obstacle; they are a mirror, a cautionary tale, and sometimes even a dark temptation.
Through a combination of pre-written prompts and fully improvised scenarios, we will explore techniques to:
*Establish a villainous presence—commanding the stage with menace, charm, or unsettling calm.
*Embody different shades of evil—from grandiose masterminds to tragic figures consumed by their flaws.
*Create compelling villain arcs—understanding their motivations, desires, and inevitable downfalls.
*Blur the moral lines—forcing the audience (and yourself) to question what true evil really is.
This workshop may touch on dark themes, so please practice self-care and only go as far as you feel comfortable. The best villains aren't just fun to play—they make us think. Let’s bring them to life.
Newcomers of all experience levels are welcome!

Nick has been improvising for nearly fifteen years and performed and studied across the world. He performed on stage over 50 times in 2024 and can be seen in shows with The Imperfectionists and Improv Academy. He has attended classes with Hoopla and The Free Association in London, and Flock Theater in Amsterdam. He is a regular attendee at Improv Festivals and was most recently seen performing as part of an ensemble cast at the Robin Hood International Improv Festival in the United Kingdom and at the Moment Festival in Vienna.
