Ready to have fun while building stronger connections? "Improv for Friends" is the perfect workshop to explore the basics of improv in a relaxed, playful setting. This workshop is about meeting new people through playing in the positive atmosphere of an improv class.
Improv is a great medium for making friends. When we laugh and play, our egos disappear and we can open up, relax, and be ourselves.
Improv comedy uses several techniques including creating an atmosphere free of judgement, saying 'yes', active listening, being positive, focusing on others, and emphasizing the importance of play.
These are the same things that happen to us naturally when we are bonding with other people.
In this workshop, we'll explore these techniques through fun, engaging exercises that build core improv abilities, and increase our capacity for being present, teamwork, and quick thinking, and develop confidence in speaking and navigating unexpected situations.
By joining this workshop, you’re also becoming part of a welcoming community of like-minded individuals who enjoy creativity and connection.
Brought to you by the members of Blue Moon Improv.
