This ongoing class will continue the training from Baseline, pushing the concept of game & scene, developing stronger characters & bolder comedic choices, and studying advanced formats. Ongoing Improv is designed to be taken more than once, as improvisors learn to work together as a group.
Class focal points:
• Finding + playing the game of the scene
• How to Engage an Audience
• Group Scene Work
• Character Exercises
• Continuation of Advanced Short Form
• Intro to Long Form Improvisation

TIME: 12:45pm – 2:45pm
COMMITMENT: 16 Weeks
INVESTMENT: $599/ 16 Weeks. Payment plans available.

PREREQ:Invite or audition. All students (regardless of TV/Film or acting experience level) must start in Baseline to learn the improv games. *DATES are subject to change, dependent on show dates and availability of theatres for live performances (and potentially the impact of COVID-19). Live performances are scheduled as soon as we receive confirmation from theatres & parents are notified as soon as possible. “Show dates” replace scheduled “class dates”, and will likely not be held the same time as class typically occurs.

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Ibanez Downtain
Ibanez Downtain has been an active improviser in the city of Atlanta for 17 years, beginning when he was 13 years old. In that time, he has worked with several of the improv theatres in Atlanta and has learned from some of the most talented people in the country. He has held the titles of Main Cast Performer, Instructor (for all levels of improv), Director, and Producer. More recently, he has written, directed, and performed in several sketch comedy ensembles. With a special place in his heart for comedy, he is always looking to incorporate fun into the learning process.
