This is an improv class appropriate for all levels, geared towards beginners. All are welcome including those with zero experience!
About this Event

This is a beginner improv class. People of all experience levels are welcome to join as well as those with no experience at all. In the class you will learn the fundamentals of how to create improv scenes, and some pointers that will help your scenes.

We will play some warm up exercises the first 15-20 minutes so you get to loosen up and get acquainted with one another. Then we will dive into doing some basic improv scenes that are very short. As the class progresses the exercises will focus on specific skill building. You can participate as much or as little as you want. Questions are encouraged throughout class. Every week the class will work on different skills.

This is not a class in short form improvisation similar to the show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" that has a focus on performing games. This is a class in long form improvisation, which is more theatrical with the focus more on creating scenes, and reacting naturally often as you would in your own real life. Even though this is improv comedy, you are encouraged to make supportive choices and not worry about making your scenes funny.

This class is normally $15, but will be $10 for 5/22/2022 (tips are welcome) for those who enroll from Eventbrite. You can pay at the class.
