MON 7–9:30pm · 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20 · $325Effective lawyers must have the ability to creatively use facts to tell compelling stories in a fast-paced, live environment. Improv is the art of storytelling from the known facts developed during a live performance. In this class, we will develop communication skills for lawyers by learning the fundamentals of improvisational theatre in a focused, fun and safe setting. Improv strengthens core skills a lawyer must have: the ability to focus, listen, work with the given facts, build on foundational information and tell compelling stories. These narrative skills can be directly transferred to legal practice. Once foundational skills and techniques are introduced, we will perform improvised scenes.
