IMPROVISATION & CREATIVITY Intensive Workshop
About this Event

This intensive Improvisation & Creativity Workshop is suitable for those who seek to connect with spontaneity, release creativity and acquire the ability to create. For this, the workshop uses the development of listening and the power of silence as its main line. It is about learning to listen to the other and to build something that is bigger than the individual.

The Brazilian Edson Duavy, improviser and professor of improvisation for 20 years, comes to Amsterdam to share his expertise and his vision about improvisation, built in several shows and courses taught in Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Amsterdam and Hong Kong.

Improvisation is more than just making people laugh. Dare to step into the unknown and unlock your creative potential. And don't worry, on this trip you won't be alone.

This workshop is suitable for non-actors and actors/theater professionals

and/or people who want to live, think and work creatively - which can benefit from this skills that will be developed through this intensive workshop:

METHODOLOGY

The workshop methodology is developed through games and practical improvisation exercises, which will work on the creativity and spontaneity of the participants, always mixing the act of instructing and having fun. The exercises can be conducted in individual dynamics, in pairs or in groups. The exercises will always be guided by the six points created by Keith Johnstone in the IMPRO study:

· See and hear

· Believe in the idea

· Act

· Feeling

· Status

· Figure formation.

During the course, suggestions of readings, videos and podcasts will be made that will help to give a greater foundation to the technique experienced during the improvisation and creativity workshop.

NOTE OF CAUTION

At various points in the workshop, students will be asked to participate in various warm-up exercises. If the student feels that an exercise requires an effort beyond what he can perform or that in any way may harm, we ask that the teacher be advised of this difficulty.
