Learn the core concepts of longform comedic improv. Students will cover scene-work mechanics like editing, tag-outs and heightening in the context of game of the scene. Over this seven-week period, we'll build the groundwork for comedic moves that will elevate your scenes.
Classes every Monday, July 1 - August 12 from 7:00-9:30pm.
The course will culminate in a student show on Saturday, August 10 at 2:00 PM

Prerequisites: Students are required to have taken Improv 101: Intro to Improv.

Instructor:
Jake Ratliff is an improviser based in Durham, NC. He was a weekly performer at DSI Comedy Theater and has coached multiple improv teams in the Triangle. You can see him perform regularly with his indie due Mom Factory and on Mettlesome’s house team, House Party. You can also hear him as a regular contributor to the "Westworld: The Podcast."
When he's not teaching or performing improv, Jake is a coder. He's also the nicest durn guy you'll ever meet.
