You’ll cultivate the confidence and skills needed in order to silence that voice in your head that asks “what should I do next?” in the middle of a scene. You’ll be ready for anything!
In Improv 102, you’ll be trained on how to do good – nay, great scenework no matter what kind of show you’re playing in. Using the techniques learned in your introductory class, you’ll engage in games and exercises designed to heighten your support of your scene partners, the ability to accept and expand on every offer, and create memorable scenes in any format. You’ll cultivate the confidence and skills needed in order to silence that voice in your head that asks “what should I do next?” in the middle of a scene. You’ll be ready for anything!
In this class, you will:
Apply skills learned in the intro class to scenework and games
Create multi-dimensional characters using specific tools
Use emotions to elevate characters and relationships
Learn about the structure of improv scenes, and how to use it to create a framework within which to play
Build meaningful relationships with your classmates, and make new friends
Prerequisites: Must be at least 18 years of age, and have taken Improv 101 (or equivalent at a different institution).
All students must be fully vaccinated to attend class.
When: Tuesdays, June 29th – August 3rd (6 weeks, 7:00-9:00PM)

Price: $300 for 6 weeks
Refund Policy
Tuition can only be fully refunded if student contacts Jet City Improv one or more weeks prior to the date of the first class.
Refund or deferment requests received after that time are not eligible for a refund or deferment, with the exception of deferments due to COVID-policy shifts as noted below.

Please note: If we do not hit a minimum number of students enrolled by 6/20/2021, we may delay the beginning of this class by one (1) week or shorten the class by 30 minutes.
If the class time is shortened, registered students will be partially refunded to reflect a pro-rated tuition.

COVID-19 Policies:
The instructor for this course will be vaccinated, and all students are required to be fully vaccinated as well. As of 6/8/21, we are anticipating this class taking place primarily indoors. Students will sign a COVID waiver prior to attending.
We will continue to abide by the latest recommendation of King County, which as of 6/8/21 means that students will be expected to wear masks when within eight feet of other students, regardless of vaccination status, until and unless a mutual decision is made by the class via an anonymous vote with consensual sharing of vaccination status.
Students will be given prior notice to any shift in policy, and will be given the opportunity to defer their tuition at any time if they no longer wish to participate.

All students must attend the first day of classes.
You must attend 5 out of the 6 classes to move onto the next course. Absences due to COVID-related symptoms will not be counted against students, as we want all students to prioritize the health of the group.
We do not offer make up sessions for classes you do not attend.
All classes are subject to a change in day/time/venue/instructor.
