THE PRACTICE OF PERCEIVING AND RESPONDING
A research-based improvisation workshop with live music for dancers and movers.
Are you a dancer/mover interested in real time composition that wish to expand your improvisational vocabulary and refine your ability to respond real time? The Summer Intensive is a space for deep listening, experimentation and the discovery of new movement languages through the convergence of dance and sound.

During this Imprography Lab Intensive we will start the day by bringing our mind to our body tissue’s. Through a guided exploration, hands-on work and embodiment we will meet our body tissue, it’s body system and it’s manifestation in time and space.
This practice is rooted in experiential anatomy, movement research and improvisation and will set the tone for the afternoon.

Imprography Lab Intensive workshop with live music is an immersive exploration of movement, sound, and spatial awareness, designed for dancers with a background in improvisation. This workshop delves into the intricate relationship between bodily awareness, sensory experience, and the dynamic exchange between movement and sound. It is a space where improvisation is not only a method but a way of attuning to the unseen structures within space and time.
By discovering and the use of our breath, training immediacy and expanding our sensory and kinesthetic awareness we will meet our body as an instrument.
In our Group Practice we will develop attunement to our immediate and ever changing environment, training the ability to adapt swiftly within a collective setting and practicing fast structuring. By Navigating Presence within a Collective we are negotiating individual agency and group dynamics.
