Our Impro Tasters are a two-hour one-off introduction to improvisation session. If you’d just like a quick splash of spontaneity in your life, or you’d like to fast-taste impro, before joining our regular weekly course, Prepare To Be Unprepared (enrolling every quarter), why not try one of our popular Impro Tasters.Your session is designed by internationally touring improvisation teacher, Nick Byrne, so you’ll have a fun-filled session of practical exercises and games that introduce you to the fundamental principles of improvised theatre, that you can use on stage or in everyday life, for confidence, communications and social skills.
Impro ACT provides a warm learning environment, and is an internationally respected performing artist, working in more than 35 countries.
If you like it, you might want to enrol in one of our short courses, one-night-per-week, to qualify to participate in shows, or simply to have a bright, positive moment in every week.
Impro Tasters are held sometimes at Blank Creative and sometimes at Ainslie Arts Centre; both an easy walk from Canberra city centre.
• What to bring
Just yourself, but wear comfortable clothes that you can move in 🙂
