Led by acclaimed Wiradyuri artist and Cultural practitioner Birrunga Wiradyuri, this immersive experience invites you to explore the significance of place, identity, and belonging through a First Nations lens.
The experience begins with an Acknowledgement of Country by Birrunga Wiradyuri, setting the stage for a deep exploration of Cultural perspectives on place, identity, and connection to Country. Birrunga will share insights into how storytelling and art preserve Cultural knowledge. Participants will then engage in an interactive discussion, reflecting on their own connections to place and exploring ways to integrate First Nations perspectives into daily life. The session concludes with final reflections and key takeaways, followed by an opportunity for conversations and networking.
As part of this enriching experience, participants will enjoy a Native Tasting Platter, featuring a selection of seasonal fruits, cheeses, crackers, house-made lemon aspen and wattleseed damper, wattleseed banana bread and brownies, roasted nuts, and a trio of Native dips. The platter also includes a curated selection of Native proteins – Kangaroo, Crocodile, and Emu – topped with fresh warrigal greens and ice plant.
