Patricia Harkleroad, lead mammographer coordinator at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital, and Carmen Boone with the Samaritan Cancer Resource Center, will present a talk on the importance of breast self-exams for early detection of cancer.They will empower participants with life-saving knowledge, including how to do a self-check for breast cancer, signs to look for and when to take action, risk factors and how to lower your risk, and where to get screened and how to find other support.
They will also provide easy-to-use guides and information about free or low-cost screenings.
