Implementing SAFe® offers attendees the broadest level of insight into each layer of a SAFe implementation. This course is for those who want to be a leader in a Lean-Agile transformation. This course and resulting certification will help you understand the roles of each person in SAFe organization and then plan and guide a SAFe transformation.

You’ll learn how to identify value streams, launch agile release trains, optimize flow, and apply OKRs to Strategic Themes that define the targeted outcomes for the SAFe transformation. You’ll also practice the principles of Agile product management and product delivery. Exam requirements:

The first step toward becoming a Certified SAFe ® Program Consultant is to attend the Implementing SAFe® course This is a requirement, because attending the course provides access to all the study materials and the exam. Note that attending the course does not guarantee passing the exam.

Exam study materials:

The exam is designed to measure knowledge and skill related to the job role. We highly recommend candidates use a variety of resources to prepare for this exam including:

• Course materials – The course materials are an essential artifact from the course and can be downloaded from the SAFe Community Platform. These materials can be used to refer back to the content that was presented during the class.

• Study guide – This comprehensive guide details the job role and all resources related to the exam, including a detailed reading list. Access is available through the Learning Plan in the SAFe Community Platform upon course completion.

• Practice test – The practice test is designed to be predictive of success on the certification exam,* and it has the same number of questions, level of difficulty, and time duration. It is part of the Learning Plan in the SAFe Community Platform and can be taken an unlimited number of times at no cost. *This is not the actual exam, and passing it does not guarantee success on the certification exam.

• Sample Questions – A web-enabled, flashcard style version of the sample questions can be found online and in the study guide.

Sarah Blaesing, SPCT Candidate, is a Senior Agile Coach within TEKsystems Global Services who partners with organizations, executives, teams, and individuals to grow and transform Agile practices so that the organization can quickly adapt to changes, respond rapidly, and innovate. After spending almost two decades working in various Agile roles, Sarah understands the struggles of transformation. She knows how to drive the conversation while being a supportive change agent for the organization, enabling her to lead multiple significant global Agile transformations throughout various sectors. Sarah has a BA from North Central College in Computer Science and has earned numerous certifications from the Scrum Alliance and Scaled Agile, which include the SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC). While Sarah has earned these certificates and grown her skills through her various roles and positions, she loves passing her knowledge and wisdom down to the next generation of Agile professionals. Joe Vallone is an experienced Agile Coach and Trainer and has been involved in the Lean and Agile communities since 2002. Mr. Vallone has helped coach several large-scale Agile transitions at Zynga, Apple, Microsoft, VCE, Nokia, AT&T, and American Airlines. Prior to founding Agile Business Connect, Joe Vallone served as an Agile Coach at Ciber, CTO/CIO of We The People, and the VP of Engineering for Telogical Systems. While at Telogical Systems, he led the Agile transformation of the engineering teams, which developed the intelligence gathering and delivery infrastructure. Joe Vallone is an effective leader and speaker with over 20 years of software development and management experience with certifications as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), and Certified SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT).

Cancellation Policy

• Students who cancel at any time will be responsible for the Eventbrite cancelation fees. TEKsystems will authorize a refund for full amount less the cancelation fees to be refunded back to the original method of payment (up to 7% of the total ticket price). • TEKsystems enforces fees if enrollment is cancelled within 14 business days of the first day of class. TEKsystems must receive written notification of class cancellation. • Students who do not notify TEKsystems by 4pm EST at least 14 full business days before the class start date incur a charge of 100% of the total cost of the course. • TEKsystems may cancel any Course on behalf of our instructors in the event that performance of Service or any Workshop under this Agreement is prevented, restricted, delayed or interfered with by reason of acts of Force Majeure, floods, lightning, earthquakes, war, revolution, civil commotion, acts of public enemies, blockade, embargo, which are not caused by TEKsystems.

TEKsystems may reschedule courses as necessary.
