Guest speaker - Sonia Koschoreck, founder of the Monarch Sanctuary Project
What:
An informative and inspirational seminar on how gardening with native plants can support monarch butterflies and other essential pollinators in our community. Plant sale will follow the lecture.
When:
Saturday, March 22nd, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Where:
Williamson County Annex, 100 Wilco Way, Georgetown Texas. Room 226, on the second level. Parking is available at the Annex building.
Why:
The monarch population has been in decline for decades, and the species has been listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List as well as being proposed as threatened by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Conservation efforts are important for the recovery of monarchs and other threatened or endangered species, and you can help!
