Embrace the beauty of spring and explore the outdoors with the Environmental Resources Department's award-winning guided nature program series. Discover the vibrant landscapes of over 11,000 acres of protected land, where fresh blossoms, chirping birds, and lush greenery await your exploration!
· Saturday, April 19 - Impact of Invasives and Native Resilience Walk at Petravice Family Preserve (9:00am-11:00am) - During this hike through a former nursery site, we’ll explore invasive plants and their impact on the preserve. We will explore what makes them invasive, what conditions allow them to invade, and how native habitats can fight back. Additionally, we’ll compare urban areas to less disturbed environments and how they differ in supporting biodiversity.

ERD Guided Nature Program hikes are FREE, reservations are required, and space is limited. GNP season runs from October through June.
