13:00-13:15 - Impact Conference 2025 Kicks Off
Engage with your fellow students and impact-oriented innovators.
13:15-13:55 - Welcome & Opening Keynote
Sune Lehmann, Professor of Complextity and Network Science at DTU and Affiliate Professor at the University of Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science, demonstrates how language models and methods from deep learning can be applied to predict individual outcomes such as mortality and personality traits based on life-events embedded in vector space.
14:00-15:00 - Session 1: AI Safety
The first session will examine the great importance of making AI safe a how you can contribute to this through your career. The session is hosted by Karina Knudsen from Machine Learning Safety Denmark and features talks and panel discussion from Esben Kran from Apart Research and Axel Højmark From Apollo Research.
15:10-15:55 - Workshop: SELF framework
In this workshop, you will get hands-on experience with the SELF framework, which offers four simple steps for evaluating career options, both in terms of impact and personal fit.
16:00-17:00 - Session 2: Alternative protein
The second session will explore the role of alternative protein in enabling a food industry with less impact on the environment and animal welfare and how we as engineers and scientists can contribute to it. The session features an introduction by the DTU Alt Protein Project and talks by alternative protein startups.
17:15-18:00 - Closing Keynote
Jonas Søvik is a group organizer at Effective Altruism Denmark. Effective Altruism is a network and research field that aims to find the best ways to help others and put them into practice. Jonas will explain why our careers are one of our most important resources in bringing about a better world and how we can become better at doing good..
18:00-20:00 - Dinner & Networking
