MEET THE INSTRUCTORS:
Joaquin Luque: From a young age, I harbored a passion for video making, driven by a profound "need to tell stories."
Although it was a phrase, I often repeated without fully understanding its depth, it eventually became a guiding principle in my creative journey. During my senior year of high school, at seventeen, with no prior camera experience and standing on the brink of college, I found the courage to craft my first narrative. Activated by a student production on YouTube, I adapted an adaptation of Andy Weir's short story "The Egg."
Nine years later, with a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Miami, I remain intrigued by memes, memory, and the cultural impulse to document our lives through smartphones. My favorite film, "Gojira" by Ishiro Honda, has been a source of inspiration since I first glimpsed its monochromatic beauty from my cradle bars. This early exposure to the evocative monsters of Toho Studios sparked a lifelong fascination with creating unique and askew works.
If I were to encapsulate my approach to video making in one word, it would be "passionate."
Arturo Sande: An Industry professional with 15 years of experience writing and consulting in the scriptwriting process, producing, and directing.
